Upcycled Vintage Dresses
"The luxury fashion scape continues to move forward to a more sustainable future - from Burberry's new sustainability initiative helping young designers, to Chloé's recent appointment of Gabriela Hearst as creative director to help shape its "sustainable future".
Now, Miu Miu has revealed a new creative initiative that helps fashion stay circular. Upcycled by Miu Miu is a special collection of vintage dresses reworked and transformed by Miu Miu, allowing the "memory" of the original design to be preserved. The range boasts a limited selection of just 80 one-off, numbered garments, which have been carefully sourced from vintage clothing stores and markets all over the world and then re-fashioned with signature Miu Miu detailing.
The pieces date from the 1930s through to the '80s and every piece is entirely unique. All have been created by hand. Upcycled by Miu Miu dresses are available in nine selected Miu Miu boutiques worldwide - including the London flagship.
